A Day In The Life of A Wardrobe Assistant

On Friday, I spent the day assisting with wardrobe for a movie called 'Live At The Foxes Den' starring the actors below. Since celebs have a reputation for being rude and/or self-centered, I thought I'd take the time to prove that that's not true and share my experience meeting some of the nicest people in the biz.

Jackson Rathbone: (Twilight, The Last Airbender) We exchanged a few smiles in passing throughout the day, then at the end of the night, I was waiting for the actors to get changed so we could pack up and head home and as he walked to his trailer, he said a few things and I responded (and giggled). Then he said something that I couldn't really hear, but I was too nervous to say, "Huh? What?". I guess I'll never know what he said. My bad... But as he left (in a nice hat) he said, "I put all the clothes on the hanger for you." It may not sound like a big deal, but it's rare. It's totally fine if the actors don't hang them up, but it was very nice of him. I will also note that he has a beautiful face and flawless skin and I don't use the term 'beautiful' loosely when it comes to looks.. AND he's nice? - Kudos. So ladies, if you already have a crush on him, you have very good taste.

Pooch Hall: (The Game, Jumping The Broom) Now, this guy was awesome. He gave me a nickname within the first 3 seconds that we met, which is so cool. I mean, everyone wants a nickname, right? ..He was super nice to everyone and still very professional. He was in and out of there in no time just because he knows how to get the job done. Very cool guy and a sharp dresser if I might add.

Elliott Gould: (Ocean's Thirteen, American History X) Love this guy. He has such a soothing voice and I know he's got some interesting stories. He gave me a snippet of a memory from his childhood and for a moment I forgot where I was. Something about him just sucks you in! "What's your name?", he asked me. I told him. "You are just so pretty," he smiled and shook my hand. It made my day.

Brian Doyle Murray: (Groundhog Day, Caddyshack) I'm not gonna lie, this is the part where I got giddy. I didn't know who he was at first, but Brian showed up late afternoon and wanted me to check the suit he brought for one of the scenes. So while we were at his car, the more he spoke, the more familiar his voice sounded. And then it clicked, "Are you Captain K'nuckles?!", I yelped. "Yes!", he said as he cracked up. I'm sure he was wondering why a 25 year old is obsessed with a cartoon called The Misadventures of Flapjack. But if any of you have seen it, you understand why. He was a really nice guy and easy to joke around with. Did I mention he's Bill Murray's brother?

Bob Gunton: (24, Patch Adams) I didn't get to interact with him much, but he's got great hair and prefers normal ties as opposed to skinny ones. :)

See? Actors aren't bad. I've met worse people at the grocery store. So toss those tabloids and give everyone a chance!

P.S. Since I brought up Jackson Rathbone and all, you guys should check out the new Breaking Dawn trailer. The wedding scene looks so pretty... Click here to watch.

  3. This was awesome! It's always good to hear about celebrities who don't think they're above everyone else.
